CSSA trade group trades up to simplify name
NEW YORK - So finally, somebody decides to make our lives a little easier through simplification. The Commercial Real Estate Secondary Market and Securitization Association (CSSA) is changing its name to the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association (CMSA). Not only is it simpler, but if better reflects today's marketplace.
"We realized we needed a new name to help the market better understand what we do," says Dottie Cunningham, CMSA's executive director, based in New York.
The mission remains the same - to foster understanding and growth in commercial mortgage securitization. The organization also launched a new Website at www.cmsa.org.
