Jones Lang LaSalle Terminates European Executives

The head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s German operations has resigned, and two other JLL executives have been fired in connection with a criminal investigation.

The two executives, who were terminated earlier this month, were part of the project management team based in Germany, according to a company statement. The executives are being investigated by the German public prosecutor for taking bribes from contractors in connection with office projects in Frankfurt and Munich, The Wall Street Journal reported.

No allegations have been made against Jones Lang LaSalle as a firm, emphasized company officials.

In a prepared release issued today (Wednesday, Nov. 26), Jones Lang LaSalle announced that Robert Orr, Jones Lang LaSalle's European CEO, has assumed management responsibilities for the firm's German office.

"Jones Lang LaSalle is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation by the German Public Prosecutor's Office. The firm also has aggressively commenced its own internal investigation." the statement read. "The firm remains wholly committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in its business practices around the world."
