Stirling Targets Logistics Center for LEED
Stirling Capital Investments has completed its fourth industrial building at the Southern California Logistics Centre (SCLC) in Victorville, Calif. The Class-A industrial facility, known as Distribution Centre 13A, is targeted for LEED certification and includes skylights and energy efficient lighting. The 296,490 sq. ft. facility is located on approximately 17 acres.
“Distribution Centre 13A is the largest industrial facility currently available in the Inland Empire North region of the County of San Bernardino,” says Brian Parno, vice president of Stirling Capital Investments, the master developer of SCLC. “It’s a state-of-the-art facility with an abundance of trailer parking spaces, which is a competitive advantage for a building of this size.”
Distribution Centre 13A is cross-docked and features 32-foot clear height with ESFR sprinklers, 112 dock high loading doors, 147 truck trailer parking spaces and 164 automobile parking spaces along with a 185’ full concrete truck yard.
Distribution Centre 13A is the fourth Class-A industrial building completed at Southern California Logistics Centre as part of Phase I development totaling more than 6.5 million sq. ft. of facilities. Last month, Stirling Capital Investments completed construction on Global Access Business Centre — two Class-A multi-tenant facilities totaling 223,773 sq. ft.
“We are pleased to see momentum building at Southern California Logistics Centre with the completion of this Class-A industrial facility,” says Bob Hunter, City of Victorville Councilman. “The high-quality buildings at SCLC will attract more logistics companies to Victorville, creating hundreds of local jobs enabling more residents to both live and work in the High Desert.”
A number of major corporations are already located at Southern California Logistics Centre and the City of Victorville, including Newell Rubbermaid, General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, FedEx, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., M&M/Mars, ConAgra Foods and Nutro Products.
