COSTA MESA, CA—Stearns Lending Inc. has signed two Orange County leases for 62,517 sq. ft. here and in Santa Ana, Calif.

The larger of the two leases is for 41,076 sq. ft. at 555 Anton in Costa Mesa. The building is part of the MetroCenter at South Coast campus, located within walking distance of South Coast Plaza. In Santa Ana, Stearns leased 21,441 sq. ft. at 1851 E. 1st Street, also known as the Xerox Centre. Stearns will take occupancy of both locations on or before May 1. Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, a division of BGC Partners Inc., represented the tenant in both leases.

“Stearns elected to expand outside of its current headquarters at Four Hutton Centre in Santa Ana to take advantage of favorable economics being offered by each respective landlord and the ability to secure prominent building top signage at each property,” says Jack McNutt, NGKF executive managing director, who negotiated both leases on Stearns' behalf.
