Non-Profit Hires Tower for $25M New Offices

LOS ANGELES—South Central Los Angeles Regional Center for Persons with Developmental Disabilities Inc. has hired Tower General Contractors for work on two office properties here for $25 million.

Tower will build a new 80,000-sq.ft. headquarters for the non-profit. Tower will also be renovating the historic Golden State Mutual Insurance Company Building, a 57,000-sq.ft. building located at 2500 South Western Avenue, which will be used as office space by SCLARC. Construction will start in May.

Alex Guerrero, executive vice president at Tower, says the non-profit group continues to be an important and positive influence on the community. "We're also pleased to be working on another Paul Revere Williams building. Our expertise in historic preservation, including renovations on the legendary Gibson Amphitheatre and the Beverly Hills City Hall Building, makes us well-suited for these projects and we look forward to beginning construction,” he says in a statement.
