Aldi Relocates to End Cap with New 20-Year, 17,886-Sq.-Ft. Lease

SCHILLER PARK, ILL.—Aldi, a discount grocery chain, has signed a 20-year, 17,886-sq.-ft. lease to occupy the end cap space at Schiller Park Commons located at 9276-9318 Irving Park Road in Schiller Park, Ill.

The center is currently being redeveloped and is scheduled for completion late this year.

Rick Scardino of the Chicago office of Lee & Associates negotiated the lease, representing the ownership. The tenant was represented by Craig Lillibridge of CBRE.

Aldi operates more than 1,000 stores in 31 states and has been a tenant at the center more than 20 years. The store will be relocating to an end cap to accommodate a new store prototype.

Built in the 1960s, Schiller Park Commons consists of 16 units and is currently 72 percent leased. In addition to Aldi, tenants include a new free standing Chase Bank, Dairy Queen, Subway and Jackson Hewitt.
