MEDINA COUNTY, OHIO—Framingham, Mass.-based Ameresco Inc., a renewable energy company, has completed construction of a $1.2 million project for Ohio’s Cloverleaf School District, which included energy efficient infrastructure upgrades at four facilities and aims to save the district more than $102,000 in energy and operational costs annually for the duration of a 15-year Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC).

The ESPC model has enabled us to implement wide-ranging energy and infrastructure upgrades that otherwise would have not been possible without the performance contracting.”
As part of the ESPC, Ameresco designed, implemented and will operate a number of energy-saving initiatives throughout four facilities for Cloverleaf School District. Some of these efficiencies include:
• Occupancy-sensing light switches
• Building automation system upgrades and expansion
• Domestic hot water boiler replacements
• Heating hot water boiler replacements
• High efficiency boilers at all HVAC demand levels
