ESCANABA, MICH.—Doctors Park medical office building, located in Escanaba, has opened for business. The 43,145-sq.-ft., $11 million facility was developed and financed and will be owned and managed by Duke Realty and will be 100 percent leased by Marquette General. Duke Realty has a long-term ground lease for the site, which is owned by Marquette General.

Comprised of two stories, the property is situated on 5.5 acres at 710 S. Lincoln Road and will replace Marquette General’s smaller building, enabling the system to offer more services to more residents in Delta County.

The medical office building includes a laboratory, home infusion, oncology, primary care, specialty care, imaging, physical therapy and occupational medicine services, as well as a blood donor center and administrative offices.

The architect for the project was BSA LifeStructures Inc. of Indianapolis and the general contractor was Gundlach Champion Inc. of Iron Mountain, Mich.

The new facility is expected to receive LEED certification.
