DoubleTree by Hilton Opens First Hotel in Iowa

MOLINE, ILL.—DoubleTree by Hilton has opened its first hotel in Iowa, the newly renovated, full-service, 100-room DoubleTree by Hilton Des Moines Airport located at 6800 Fleur Drive in Des Moines. Formerly a Radisson, the hotel is owned and operated by Heart of America Group under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.

“The DoubleTree by Hilton Des Moines Airport marks our brand’s entry into Iowa. Des Moines is a major business hub for the region as well as a robust market that provides a variety of leisure activities for all ages,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.

Renovations to the hotel were completed by Heart of America Group’s in-house design team.

Guest rooms include new carpeting, window treatments, furniture and bedding as well as upgraded bathrooms. Throughout the hotel, carpet, new lighting and window treatments were included.

The property’s lobby includes new furnishing, a fireplace, business center and lounge. An indoor heated swimming pool, fitness center, 648-sq.-ft. meeting room, self-service business center and complimentary printing service is available to guests.

The hotel also includes an onsite restaurant, Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse.

Located next door to the Des Moines International Airport, the hotel is situated in close proximity to Highway 5 and I-35 and I-80.
