$72M Gateway Marketplace Shopping Center Breaks Ground

DETROIT—Gateway Marketplace shopping center has broken ground. The $72 million center is located at the southeast corner of 8 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue in Detroit and will be comprised of 350,000 sq. ft. upon completion.

Meijer Supercenter, a Marshall’s department store and a K&G Fashion Superstore will all anchor the center.

Gateway Marketplace will provide grocery and retail shopping opportunities to Detroit residents and the city’s suburban neighbors. The center, expected to open next summer, will bring approximately 900 permanent retail jobs and 300 construction jobs

Southfield Michigan based REDICO is acting as developer and project manager on the development.
