Gavilon Readies for New HQ Building in Omaha

OMAHA—The Gavilon Group LLC has broken ground on its new 127,000-sq.-ft. world headquarters office in downtown Omaha, Neb. Opus Design Build LLC is serving as the design-builder on the project, which is slated for completion in December 2013.

Upon delivery, the Class A office building will accommodate the commodity management firm’s Omaha-based employees and support the company’s future growth.

Designed and constructed with sustainable practices and elements, building will include collaborative, column-free trade floor space with 22-ft. ceiling heights, full-height glass walls and an open staircase connecting two levels.

Working with Opus Design Build are Open Studio Architecture, Opus AE Group Inc., Perkins + Will and ESD.

Paul LaFave and David Maenner of CBRE MEGA represented Gavilon as tenant representatives, and Sam Garden of CBRE MEGA will serve as the tenant project manager during design and construction phases. Robert Peters of Robert Peters Company is engaged as a civic consultant.
