Gladstone Acquires Hospital Administration Building in Columbus for $4.0 Million

COLUMBUS, OHIO—McLean, Va.-based Gladstone Commercial Corporation has purchased a 31,293-sq.-ft. office building located in Columbus for $4.0 million. Currently fully leased to Nationwide Children's Hospital, the building houses administrative personnel that support NCH's 50 medical locations across Ohio.

Gladstone Commercial Corporation is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that invests in and owns net leased industrial, commercial and retail real property and makes long-term industrial and commercial mortgage loans. The company currently owns 77 properties.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals. The hospital was the first freestanding pediatric hospital in Ohio to achieve magnet status and the hospital’s Research Institute is ranked in the top 10 for National Institutes of Health funding among free-standing children's hospitals.

The hospital sees nearly one million patients annually and includes 7,500 hospital staff and 1,000 medical staff who have been providing care since 1892.
