Inland American Names McGuinness President

OAK BROOK, ILL.—Inland American Real Estate Trust Inc. (Inland American) has appointed Thomas P. McGuinness president by its board of directors. In his new role, McGuinness will be responsible for overseeing the management of the company’s day-to-day operations, including the business plan, investment decisions, asset management and financing functions.

McGuinness is replacing Brenda Gujral who is stepping down from the president position to concentrate on her new role as president of Inland Private Capital Corporation.

McGuinness joined Inland in 1982 and has held several executive positions throughout the organization. Currently, McGuinness also serves as the president of Inland American Business Manager and Advisor Inc. (IABMA), a position he will continue to hold.

Inland American’s portfolio totals 48 million sq. ft. and includes retail, office and industrial properties, as well as 9,563 multifamily units and 17,899 hotel rooms.
