Karbank Completes 850,000 Sq. Ft. of Lease Transactions for Auto Industry

KANSAS CITY, MO.—In three recent transactions, Karbank Real Estate Company L.L.P./CORFAC International (Karbank) has completed leases totaling nearly 850,000 sq. ft.

These transactions include:

• A 212,500-sq.-ft. built-to-suit manufacturing facility lease for LMV Automotive Systems, a manufacturing division of Cosma International. The facility, situated on 45 acres in Liberty, Mo., is the first location for the company in the area and will bring 156 jobs. Olen Monsees, president, Karbank, along with Karbank Senior Vice President Jack Allen represented LMV Automotive in the site selection, incentive analysis and long-term lease.

Becknell Industries is developing the facility, slated to be completed late this year or early next year. The single-story building includes heavy power, 32-ft. clear height, cross docks and approximately 12,000 sq. ft. of office space. The property is located at 3251 Heartland Drive near the intersection of I-35 and Missouri Highway 69.

• A 517,000-sq.-ft. lease at 5300 Kansas Avenue, Kansas City, Kan. for Comprehensive Logistics. Jack Allen and Howard Moss of Omni L.L.C. represented the tenant in its renewal and expansion of warehouse space.

• A 120,000-sq.-ft. lease at 5250 Kansas City Avenue, Kansas City, Kan. also for Comprehensive Logistics. Allen and Moss represented the company in the transaction. Santa Monica, Cali. -based BH Properties owns both of the Comprehensive Logistics properties.
