KANSAS CITY, MO.–Freightquote.com has selected Opus Design Build L.L.C a contract to design and construct a new 200,000-sq.-ft. headquarters for the online shipping broker in Kansas City, Mo. The company is relocating to Kansas City from its current location in Lenexa, Kan. The new office space will be designed to accommodate the company’s expected growth.
Currently being constructed on a 30-acre site, =the facility will offer convenient access to Interstate 435 at State Line Road and Worn all Road. The four-story building will accommodate parking for 1,500 cars.
Construction is slated for completion in June 2013.
Opus Design Build L.L.C. is serving as the design-builder on the project and Opus AE Group Inc. is the architect and engineer of record. VanTrust Real Estate is providing development services.
