NEW JERSEY—The Jersey City EconomicCorporation (JCEDC) will relocate to 601 Pavonia Avenue from its downtown Jersey City location this month.
The new, which is situated between Summit Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard, is accessible by public transportation as it is one block from the Journal Square Transportation Center.
"We want all Jersey City businesses to know that the only thing changing is our address," said Steve Lipski, JCEDC chief executive officer. "Our phone and fax numbers remain the same, and more importantly, out dedicated staff will continue to provide the same top-notch services and programs that help businesses to grow and Jersey City to thrive economically."
The JCEDC is a private, nonprofit (501 (c) 3) corporation charged with promoting, encouraging and assisting the industrial, commercial andof Jersey City, and with creating greater employment opportunities and broadening the base of the City's tax structure. The organization was established in 1980 with the support of the Jersey City Administration and Municipal Council.
The JCEDC has administered the City's Urban Enterprise Zone program since 1987, and has overseen the reinvestment in the City of more than $129 million of UEZ funds since its founding. UEZ business enrollments have accounted for the creation of more than 28,800 full-time jobs and over $13 billion in private.
