JERSEY CITY—Cushman & Wakefield Inc. has orchestrated a headquarters expansion and extension for Antenna Software at 111 Town Square Place, Newport, Jersey City. The transaction increases Antenna Software’s presence by more than 50 percent to 22,000 sq. ft., and represents the company’s fifth worldwideto be opened or expanded in the last 12 months, the second of which was facilitated by Cushman & Wakefield.
The tenant was represented by Peter Hamburger, Harlan Hollander and Walter Schoenberg of Cushman & Wakefield in East Rutherford. Owner Newport Center I Ltd. Partners, an affiliate of The LeFrak Organization, was represented in-house by Thomas Traugott, regionaldirector.
“As a leader in the growing mobile market, Antenna Software continues to expand very rapidly, requiring the additional space and facilities,” said Hamburger. “This transaction, a 10-year lease, included a two-and-half year extension of the company’s existing lease.”
Antenna Software is an enterprise mobility specialist that helps organizations create and manage mobile apps, websites and content across the entire business. The company, which provides services via its Antenna Mobility Platform (AMP), recently developed an app for Cushman & Wakefield, marketed through AT&T’s Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP). The CWmobile app helps the firm’sprovide an enhanced real estate viewing experience when working with clients.
Newport Financial Center is located on Jersey City’s Hudson River waterfront and is part of LeFrak’s Newport mixed-usecommunity. The 500,000-sq.-ft., 14-story class-A building supports the mission critical IT infrastructure of top-tier financial institutions, telecommunications companies and managed/cloud service providers.
