Edison, N.J. Senior Living Campus Sells for $23M

NEW JERSEY—National Health Investors Inc., based in Murfreesboro, Tenn., has sold a 148-bed, Edison, N.J. senior living campus for $23 million. Its current tenant, Sunrise Senior Living, has acquired the property, pursuant to a purchase option between the parties.

National Health Investors is a healthcare real estate investment trust specializing in financing healthcare real estate by purchase and leaseback transactions. Its investments include independent living, assisted living, senior living campuses, skilled nursing facilities, medical office buildings and hospitals.

The Edison property is located in close proximity to the Garden State Parkway, the New Jersey Turnpike, Routes 1 and 287 and within walking distance to the Metro Park train station.
