NEW JERSEY—Gebroe-Hammer Associates has named David Oropeza and Joseph Brecher as managing directors. In their new roles, Oropeza and Brecher, both long-time Gebroe-Hammer employees, will continue to work to strengthen the firm’s presence in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

Oropeza joined Gebroe-Hammer in 1986 and has been a top sales broker, while overseeing brokerage activity throughout Northern New Jersey. Throughout his career, he has sold more than $2 billion in commercial real estate, including more than 20,000 multifamily units.
Brecher joined Gebroe-Hammer in 2001 and has supervised the firm’s multifamily investment sales activity throughout Central New Jersey and the Philadelphia, Pa., region. Brecher was promoted to vice president in 2003, senior vice president in 2005 and executive vice president in 2008. During his tenure, Brecher has closed more than $2 billion in multifamily transactions throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania as well as Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
