The Hampshire Companies Sells 20,000SF Retail Supermarket Building in Vermont

NEW JERSEYMorristown, N.J.-based The Hampshire Companies has sold a 20,000-sq.-ft. retail building located on Union Street in Brandon, Vt.

Situated on approximately 10 acres, the retail building has been acquired by Hannaford Supermarkets, based in Scarborough, Maine. The buyer operates more than 180 stores throughout New England and its new location will provide the Brandon community fresh foods supported by daily deliveries.

Hannaford is a Delhaize America company, owned by Belgian-based Delhaize Group, one of the world's largest food retailers.

“Hannaford’s deep roots and long history in the grocer retail marketplace provided the company with the right insight to select Brandon, Vt. as its next location,” said Robert Schmitt, a principal of The Hampshire Companies.
