Marlton’s Hill International Tapped to Manage Development of $1.5 Billion Saudi Airport

NEW JERSEY—Hill International, a construction management firm based in Marlton, has been awarded a contract from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide project management oversight services for the $1.5 billion King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) improvement program in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The one-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $3.8 million.

In response to a projected annual volume of 70-80 million passengers by 2035, KAIA embarked on a major improvement program that includes creating a terminal to handle a capacity of 30 million annual passengers; a transportation center and railway station to accommodate new high-speed rail serving Makkah and Madinah; a new air-traffic-control complex; taxiways; airside and landside road network; utilities networks; and related support buildings.

Hill will be providing project oversight, value engineering and training services during design and construction of the program.
