NAI Hanson Represents Red Cross in Sale of Hackensack HQ

HACKENSACK—NAI James E. Hanson has represented the American National Red Cross in the sale of 345 Union Street in Hackensack.

Originally constructed as a residence in the early 1900s, the 4,600-sq.-ft. office building was acquired by the American Red Cross in 1950 and used as an office ever since. The American Red Cross has maintained the facility and kept the architecture intact over the years.

NAI Hanson associate vice president Darren M. Lizzack and sales associate Russell J. Verducci secured the buyer, 345 Union Street LLC, which will rent the property to the law practice of Dario Yacker Suarez & Albert LLC. Space will be also available for solo practitioners.

According to Lizzack, the new owners selected this building due to its centralized location in the heart of Hackensack and proximity to the courthouse. In addition, the character of the building got the attention of all partners in the firm.

Lizzack noted that the sellers had come to the realization that the pricing set originally was far exceeding market value. Through collaboration with the local chapter of the American Red Cross, combined with the realtor's input and advice from the national chapter of the organization, the pricing was adjusted to reflect market conditions.
