Urban Outfitters Opens First Princeton-area Store

NEW JERSEY—Urban Outfitters opened the doors to its Princeton, N.J. location Thursday at 42 Nassau Street, which was previously a Talbot’s location. It is the first Princeton-area store for the company.

Comprised of two stories, the new Urban Outfitters store spans more than 10,000 sq. ft. of space.

“Architectural features are the base of the store’s design,” said Joe Kenny, Urban Outfitters store design manager. “We exposed existing plaster walls with tons of character and an amazing terra cotta ceiling structure throughout the space.”

Founded in 1970, Urban Outfitters is an eclectic lifestyle retailer that began with its first store near the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Today, the company operates more than 200 stores in the United States, Canada and Europe.
