BARNEGAT—Prospective homebuyers recently attended a free homebuying seminar hosted by Walters Homes at the Atlantic Heights Clubhouse. Financial experts offered advice on navigating through the homebuying process. Topics discussed were the many mortgage programs available, understanding credit scores and the benefits of buying versus renting in today’s market.
Guest speakers included three of Walters Homes’ preferred lenders, OceanFirst Bank, Van Dyk Home Loans, and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as well as Let’s Talk Credit Scores, a credit information provider.
Attendees were also given information on two Walters Homes developments: Ocean Acres at Barnegat and Whispering Hills. Ocean Acres at Barnegat offers single-family homes with two-car garages and up to 3,100 sq. ft. of living space. Buyers can choose from 10 different floor-plans, priced from $239,995. All homes include full-poured basements.
At Whispering Hills, eco-friendly townhouses range in size from 1,909 sq. ft. to 2,191 sq. ft., starting at $222,195 for the Willow model. The townhouses are registered with a certification goal of LEED Silver, making them more energy efficient than conventional non-green homes.
