DCINY Expands Lease at 250 West 57th St.

NEW YORK—Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY), a musical entertainment presenter, has signed a lease expansion to occupy approximately 11,000 sq. ft. of space at W&H Properties’ 250 West 57th Street. Harry F. Blair, Sean Kearns and Kelli Mekles of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. Malkin Holdings LLC supervises the building on behalf of the ownership.

The expansion represents nearly 40 percent more space for the company, which has occupied space at the property since 2007.

“The 57th Street Corridor and its surrounding areas are a magnet for the arts and entertainment industries,” said Anthony Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings. “Music entities, in particular, appreciate the proximity to Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.”

DCINY is a production company offering large-scale concerts at venues as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York and Disney Hall in Los Angeles, as well as a recital series, a Broadway workshop, a mentoring program for conductors, and a commissioning program.

Standing 26 stories high, 250 West 57th Street totals 535,000 sq. ft. of office space. The property recently completed an $82 million upgrade program that included a renovated lobby, elevator cabs, new windows, and renovated public corridors and restrooms.
