ASICS Opens First NYC Showroom on Seventh Avenue

NEW YORKASICS America Corporation has opened its first New York City showroom at 530 Seventh Avenue. The athletic footwear and apparel manufacturer will occupy 3,500 sq. ft. of space in the 490,000-sq.-ft. Savitt Partners’ property.

The tenant was exclusively represented by the Savitt Partners team of Marc Schoen, Michael Schoen and Brian Neugeboren in the lease transactions, while the building ownership was represented by Bob Savitt.

Built in 1930, the 530 Seventh Avenue is an art deco-era property that is home to several retailers, including Perry Ellis, Max Mara, New Balance, Chaus, LAMade, Michael Stars, TKE, Point A Showroom and several others.

The property offers on-site owner management, updated elevators and security system, newly renovated common areas and lower-level storage.

Founded in 1949, ASICS began as a basketball shoe manufacturer in Japan. The shoes were first introduced in the U.S. in 1977 and the brand now includes a variety of athletic apparel and accessories.
