CafeMom Expands, Relocates to 417 Fifth Ave.

NEW YORK CITY—CafeMom, a cross-platform company for moms, has signed a 10-year, 35,000-sq.-ft. direct lease to relocate and expand its New York City headquarters to 417 Fifth Avenue.

The company, which includes properties CafeMom.com, MamásLatinas.com, CafeMom Studios and the CafeMom Plus Network will relocate and expand its headquarters from 18,000-sq.-ft. at 401 Park Avenue South to the entire seventh floor at 417 Fifth Avenue, nearly doubling in size to accommodate immediate growth. CafeMom will step directly into the fully furnished space occupied by Atari, a global producer, publisher and creator of interactive entertainment.

Senior managing director David Dusek of international commercial real estate services firm Studley represented CafeMom in the transaction. Senior managing director Roxana Girand of Murray Hill Properties represented the property.

CafeMom was founded in 2006 by Michael Sanchez, former co-founder and president of Do Something, a national organization that helps millions of young people get involved in their communities, and Andrew Shue, former Melrose Place star and fellow co-founder of Do Something.
