Massey Knakal Sells Brooklyn Warehouse

BROOKLYN—Massey Knakal Realty Services has sold a 140,000-sq.-ft., four-story warehouse/storage facility at 1000 Dean Street in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights. This warehouse sold in a transaction valued at $11 million.

This block-through property consists of three attached industrial buildings. The primary four-story facility is approximately 220 ft. deep and is combined with a neighboring one-story warehouse to offer 285 ft. of frontage on Dean Street.

The first floor has loading docks, a storage area and several offices. The remaining three floors are used for storage and are accessible by two freight elevators and two stair cases. Ceiling heights vary between 13-18 ft. throughout and there is a column span of 30 ft. The north portion of the primary facility is combined with an additional one-story warehouse to offer 223 ft. of frontage on Bergen Street.

“The property will be repositioned to meet the area’s growing appetite for more creative commercial and retail uses. This project will help bolster continued growth in west Crown Heights,” said Massey Knakal director of sales Michael Amirkhanian, who handled this transaction with vice chairman and partner John F. Ciraulo.
