SAP America Opts for Early Lease Renewal at MerrittView

NEW YORK–SAP America Inc., the U.S. arm of Germany-based software provider SAP, has renewed its 5,018-sq.-ft. lease at Malkin Properties’ MerrittView property, located in Norwalk, Conn.

John Hannigan, principal of Choyce Peterson Inc., along with Brandon Kenney of Fischer & Company arranged the deal for SAP America. Malkin Properties’ Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president, represented the landlord, along with Kimberly Zaccagnino, senior leasing associate, and Tara Long, leasing associate.

Signed six months before its original lease ended, SAP America will remain in its space through 2016.

MerrittView is an eight-story office building comprised of 260,000 sq. ft. of space. Located at the intersection of Route 7 and the Merritt Parkway, the property was built in 1985 and offers access to Route 7, Exit 40A and 40B of the Merritt Parkway, and the Metro-North Commuter Railroad.

Recently, the property’s lobby and common area corridors were updated, as was the main entrance plaza. Amenities at MerrittView include concierge service, a dining facility and catering service, fitness center with locker rooms, conference center, parking and shuttle van service.

In 2010, MerrittView earned Energy Star designation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
