Winick Realty Leases Herald Square Storefront to The Change Group

NEW YORK CITY—The Change Group, the family-owned foreign currency and travel services provider, leased a 110-sq.-ft. location at 22 West 34th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in the heart of Herald Square.

The store, which is scheduled to open within the next two months, will be The Change Group’s seventh store in New York City and ninth in the United States. As with The Change Group’s other locations, the storefront at 22 West 34th Street puts the company in the middle of a high-traffic, tourist-driven area. Herald Square is near many draws for locals and tourists, including Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, the Empire State Building, and Macy’s Herald Square flagship store.

Winick Realty Group LLC director Richard Smith and associate director Tatiana Jung represented The Change Group in the 10-year lease transaction, while landlord Sol Goldman was represented in house. This marks the second time Smith has worked with The Change Group in the past year as he also represented the company last August when they leased 600 sq. ft. at 315 Madison Avenue, on the corner of 42nd Street.
