Why hello there.
We’ve got some new (but familiar) faces in place and we’re about to embark on an exciting new chapter in the history of National Real Estate.
For more than 50 years, this publication has been a leader in covering every aspect of the commercial real estate sector. It’s weathered the ups and downs and changed with times. And today, as the recovery from the Great Recession plays out and as business-to-business publishing evolves, we’re looking to build on that legacy and enter the next stage of its continued prosperity.
In that vein, Penton Commercial Real Estate is entering the picture. National Real Estate Investor, nreionline.com, and its suite of digital products remain a leading commercial real estate media brand where all disciplines of commercial real estate meet (multi-housing, retail, , office and hospitality).
We aim to take that track record and what exists today and transform it into a multifaceted 21st century media platform including print and digital content, live events and other game changers. In the coming weeks and months, look for changes among these products as a wealth of new initiatives.
The strategy will also be about taking advantage of the full range of content in our group (which includes sister titles Retail Traffic and Lodging Hospitality) as well as from other parts of Penton and bringing that to you online, in print and even on your smartphones and tablets.
Building a team
With all of this in mind, Jonathan A. Schein has joined Penton Media as practice leader of Penton’s Commercial Real Estate Media Group. If you’ve been around commercial real estate at all, you know Jonathan. He has been CEO of Schein Media and was the founder of Globest.com and Real Share Conferences, and CEO of Real Estate Media.
Working with Schein will be David Bodamer who is being promoted to the position of editorial director for Penton Commercial Real Estate and Marianne Rivera, who remains publisher ofReal Estate Investor. Previously, David was the Editor-in-Chief of National Real Estate Investor’s sister publication Retail Traffic and brings more than 10 years experience in covering the commercial real estate industry.
We believe we have the core of a great team in place — one we look to build out in the coming weeks and months as we embark on the project of taking this industry stalwart to the next level.
These are exciting times.
We are ecstatic about the possibilities for our group. We look forward to bringing you the best commercial real estate coverage, events andand custom services the industry has to offer.
Put bluntly, we are ready to roll and hope you enjoy coming along with us on the ride!
