Disney Opens First Baby Store at The Americana at Brand

The Walt Disney Co. opened its long-anticipated Disney Baby Store at The Americana at Brand retail center in Glendale, Calif. on Sept. 6.

The store is organized around what the company calls “the special moments” of a baby’s day, including play, bathing, mealtimes, going out and baby “firsts.” It measures approximately 1,900 sq. ft. in size and for the moment will remain the only stand-alone Disney Baby store in the country, according to a company spokesperson. A store-within-a-store venue is currently planned for the Disney store at Times Square in New York City.

“We launched the Disney Baby line to address the needs of moms looking for superior baby products that also help them celebrate the joys of being new parents,” said President of Disney Consumer Products Bob Chapek in a statement. “Today marks another important milestone in the growth of the Disney Baby brand as we continue to provide moms with the exceptional quality and innovation they expect from Disney through expanded retail experiences.”
