Southern California Real Estate Executives Killed in Plane Crash

Three Southern California commercial real estate executives were among five people killed in a plane crash this week at Long Beach Airport, according to the Los Angeles Times and other news sources.

The victims included Long Beach real estate broker and cycling activist Mark Bixby, 44, Long Beach real estate investor Thomas Fay Dean, 50, and his business partner Jeff Berger, the Times reported.

Another passenger, Long Beach real estate executive Michael Jensen, survived but was hospitalized in critical condition, according to the Times.

The three had been aboard a twin-engine plane bound for Salt Lake City when it crashed at the airport on Wednesday and burst into flames, the news accounts said.
