Amanda Hite has been promoted to president of Smith Travel Research based in Hendersonville, Tenn. Hite has been with STR for five years, and most recently was chief strategy officer. In her new role she will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of STR and its family of companies, including HotelNewsNow.com based in Cleveland.
Mary Beth Norwood has been named co-managing principal in the Baltimore office of Reznick Group, a national CPA firm. With more than 22 years of public accounting experience, she provides audit, tax and business advisory services, focusing on real estate and nonprofit industries.
David Thurston has been promoted to associate vice president of investments by Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services. Most recently, Thurston held the title of senior associate in the New Jersey office of Marcus & Millichap. He started his career with the firm in 1999.
Vincent Signorello has been named chief operating officer of Flagler, a Forida commercial real estate firm. Signorello joined Flagler in 2009 as chief investment officer and became acting chief financial officer. He helped close $460 million in financing in 2009.
