LOCATION: Woodmont Triangle area of Bethesda, Md.
BUZZ: The Montgomery County Planning Board has approved the mixed-use project, which totals more than 585,000 sq. ft. Donohoe is planning two apartment towers and an office building to be constructed on two sites two blocks apart. All three buildings will include street-level retail and will be located just south of the National Institutes of Health campus in an aging, transit-friendly neighborhood targeted for redevelopment.
CONSTRUCTION: The first phase, which includes 234 luxury residential units, will begin in mid-2012.
