Retrofit Plans HQ Move to Downtown Tower

CHICAGORetrofit Inc., a weight management firm, has announced it will move its headquarters to 123 N. Wacker Drive in the downtown.

The company has been operating out of Skokie, Ill., but is moving into 3,000 sq. ft. here. Retrofit provides a year-long program that includes wireless monitoring of a client’s weight, activity and sleep, as well as private lessons with a registered dietitian, exercise physiologist, and behavior coach.

"Retrofit Inc. is excited to establish strong roots in Chicago and be among the technology companies that are thriving under Mayor Emanuel’s pro-growth, pro-business leadership," said Retrofit CEO Jeff Hyman. “City Hall’s strong emphasis on investment in commuter infrastructure and workforce development made Chicago the right fit for our continued growth.”

The announcement marks the 12th corporate headquarters relocation to Chicago and over the 50th technology company to commit to creating jobs for Chicagoans during Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s administration. “I am committed to bringing new and technologically advanced businesses to Chicago, especially those that want to grow their businesses creating jobs and opportunity for Chicagoans,” the mayor says in a statement about the new business.
