ARCHITECTS ORANGE

Architects Orange has provided retail design services for over 30 years and multifamily design services for over 20. We have naturally emerged as a leader in the design of mixed-use projects which incorporate both uses and have become prevalent in the last few years. “Piemonte at Ontario Center”, a 61-acre, master-planned, mixed-use village near the intersection of Interstates 10 and 15 in a rapidly growing area of San Bernardino County, is our latest mixed-use project which recently received an award for “Best On-the-Boards Site Plan” at this year's Pacific Coast Builders Gold Nugget Awards. Piemonte will contain 309,280 square feet of retail space, 54,800 square feet of distinctive restaurants and services, 791 units of for-sale residences, 550,000 square feet of class-A corporate office space, a 10,000-seat sports and entertainment arena and a 14-story, 311-room luxury business hotel and restaurant. The project will be a core destination and lifestyle experience for the entire Inland Empire area.

While mixed-use and Main Street projects are exciting, we still remain rooted in traditional retail design. Over 70 percent of Architects Orange's projects are traditional retail design. Our 30 years of experience tells us that a practical and disciplined approach to site planning is what is needed for neighborhood, power, community, entertainment and unanchored strip centers. Basic circulation patterns, parking fields, signage and visibility still drive the plan.

With this practical approach in mind the Architects Orange team fosters innovation solutions that create a unique character for each project. A theme is created early in the design process and color, materials and architectural details are determined to carry out that theme. Downey Landing, a 400,000-square-foot power center on 35 acres at the intersection of Lakewood Blvd. and Stewart and Gray Road in the City of Downey is an example of our approach to a traditional retail plan. The project, which has a current tenant lineup that includes Bed, Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Marshalls, Old Navy, PetsMart and Staples revitalizes the surrounding area and is expected to be a vital economic engine for the City of Downey.

With offices in Orange County, Calif., Architects Orange provides architectural services in the western United States with projects currently in Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, Sacramento and Seattle.
