Crown Center, Zimmer close the deal in Kansas City

Kansas City, Mo.-based Crown Center Redevelopment Corp. has preleased 410,000 sq. ft. at 2555 Grand Blvd. to Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP. Construction of the 600,000 sq. ft., 24-story, Class-A tower is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2001 with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2003. Shook, Hardy & Bacon will move into the new building by February 2004 when its current lease expires at One Kansas City Place.

New York-based Julien J. Studley Inc. represented Shook, Hardy & Bacon, while Rick Nash, senior vice president of leasing for Crown Center, and Hugh Zimmer, chairman of The Zimmer Cos. represented ownership. The Zimmer Cos. is a partner in 2555 Grand's development.
