Vestar R. Patrick McGinley has been promoted to vice president of property management for Vestar, a Phoenix-based real estate company. He joined the company in 1989 and most recently served as director of property management. In addition, Edward J. Reading has been named vice president of finance for the firm. Prior to joining Vestar in 1992 as the director of finance, he worked as an accountant for Arthur Andersen and later as the controller of operations/director of leasing for Arizona Building and Development.

Altoon + Porter Architects LLP William J. Sebring and Randolph C. Larsen have been named partners at Los Angeles-based Altoon + Porter Architects LLP. Sebring, an associate partner with the firm since 1985, will provide design overview on commercial, retail and mixed-use projects from masterplanning through the development of architectural design. Larsen, an associate partner with the company since 1986, will be responsible for comprehensive project management on several projects, including the construction, documentation, and administration of the Hollywood & Highland project in Los Angeles. In addition, he will foster and monitor the quality delivery of architectural services for all projects.

CBL & Associates Properties Inc. George "Buck" Sappenfield has joined CBL & Associates Properties Inc. as senior vice president of asset management. He will be responsible for working with all levels of the company to help enhance the value of CBL's portfolio and pursue future growth opportunities. Sappenfield formerly served as president of Limited Real Estate, where among his accomplishments were the opening and remodeling of more than 5,000 retail stores for the Limited Inc.

Konover Property Trust Inc. Marcus B. Liles III has been promoted to vice president, assistant general counsel, at Cary, N.C.-based Konover Property Trust Inc. In his new position, Liles will continue to oversee the company's real estate-related legal projects including acquisitions, dispositions, property development and financing. Prior to joining Konover Property Trust in 1997, he was employed by PF Properties LP, formerly North Hills Inc.

Jones Lang LaSalle Cubie H. Dawson Jr. has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president of Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle. As part of the company's retail division, he will be responsible for expanding the firm's retail presence into urban mixed-use transportation-related projects. In addition, Dawson will continue to serve as general manager of New York's Grand Central Terminal where he was instrumental in the coordination and implementation of the recent $197 million renovation. He also is a contributing team member to a number of Jones Lang LaSalle's transit projects, including both Union Station in Chicago and Union Station in Kansas City. Dawson, who will be based in New York, joined the company in 1987.

Forest City Enterprises Duane Bishop, a 15-year executive with Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises, was named senior vice president, portfolio management, for the Forest City Commercial Group. His will focus on asset management of the shopping center and office building/hotel portfolios, including operations, capital expenditures, financing and expansions. Formerly, he was VP of asset management.

Barry M. Klein Real Estate Inc. Henry C. Moses is the new president of Barry M. Klein Real Estate Inc., a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based commercial real estate brokerage and development company. A 13-year veteran of the firm, Henry was executive vice president. Barry M. Klein, the former president, retains his position as chairman.

Strouds Inc. City of Industry, Calif.-based Strouds Inc. recently announced that it has promoted four company managers to vice president. Norman Goldman was promoted to vice president of merchandising, outlet stores; Jayne Hayes has been promoted to vice president, outlet stores; Robert Valone was named vice president, divisional merchandise manager; and Tracey Stein has been named vice president, full-line stores.
