ORIX Real Estate Equities Inc. Michael McCullough, executive vice president of Chicago-based ORIX Real Estate Equities Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors. He joined the company in 1982 and oversees development and construction. Jeffrey C. Plack was promoted from senior vice president-controller to executive vice president and chief administrative officer.

GE Capital Investment Advisors Inc. Jill S. Hatton has been promoted from chief investment officer to president and CEO of Boston-based GE Capital Investment Advisors Inc. (GECIA). She is responsible for day-to-day operations, and strategic and client investment management activities. Hatton joined GECIA in 1988. She replaces Kathleen Carey who has been appointed to head GECIA's e-commerce affiliate.

New Plan Excel Realty Trust John B. Roche has been named CFO of New York-based New Plan Excel Realty Trust Inc. He is responsible for directing capital markets, management information systems, financial controls and compliance activities. Previously, Roche served as senior vice president of financial services for The Related Cos. in New York.

Extended Stay America Inc. Robert A. Brannon has been promoted from CFO to president and COO of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Extended Stay America Inc. He is responsible for overseeing operational functions. Previously, Brannon served as vice president of finance for Ft. Lauderdale-based Blockbuster Entertainment Group. Gregory R. Moxley has been promoted from vice president of finance to CFO. He is responsible for overseeing accounting procedures and controls, financial reporting and cash management. Previously, Moxley was director of financial reporting and assistant treasurer for Spartanburg, S.C.-based One Price Clothing Stores Inc.

National Multi Housing Council Jeffrey J. Morris has been elected to serve on the executive committee of the Washington, D.C.-based National Multi Housing Council (NMHC). Morris, a 27-year veteran of real estate investment, serves as portfolio manager for San Francisco and White Plains, N.Y.-based SSR Realty Advisors Inc.

Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. Dennis Alberts has been named president and COO for Fort Worth, Texas-based Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. He is responsible for operating activities. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Dallas-based Pacific Retail Trust.

Binswanger Kelly Wolfington has been appointed president of the Mid-Atlantic region's commercial sales and leasing for Philadelphia-based Binswanger. She is responsible for sales management and tenant representation. Previously, Wolfington served as executive adviser with the Rubenstein Brokerage Group in Philadelphia.

Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin John I. Bralower has been named the New York office's managing director for Los Angeles-based Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. He is responsible for expanding global real estate investment banking activities. Previously, he was president of New York-based Sonnenblick-Goldman Co. Speaking of Sonnenblick-Goldman Co., Mark Gordon has been promoted from senior vice president to mana-ging director of the company's lodging and leisure group. He is responsible for procurement of capital, development of a real estate advisory group and distribution. Previously, Gordon was associate director with New York-based Williams GVA Worldwide.

PhatPipe Inc. Donald H. Ankeny has joined Carlsbad, Calif.-based PhatPipe Inc. as president and COO. He is responsible for commercial real estate development, acquisition and finance. Previously, Ankeny served as managing director of San Francisco-based Robertson Stephens, a subsidiary of Boston-based BankBoston Corp. Also Peter Sargent, who previously served as director of tax credits and real estate equity investments for BankBoston Development Co. LLC, a subsidiary of Boston-based BankBoston Corp., has been named managing director of New York-based JER Hudson Housing Capital LLC. He is responsible for multifamily affordable housing property fund raising and investing.
