The WMF Group Ltd. Shekar Narasimhan has been promoted from president and CEO to chairman of the board and CEO for this Vienna, Va.-based commercial mortgage firm. Previously, Narasimhan was executive vice president of Beltsville, Md.-based Clark Financial. Also, Charles H. Cremens was named president and CEO and elected to the board. He will be responsible for day-to-day operations. Prior to joining WMF, Cremens was CIO of Boston-based Beacon Properties Corp.

BOMA International Richard D. Baier has been elected president of Washington, D.C.-based Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International. Baier is managing director for Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis in its Kansas City, Mo., office. Most recently, he served as the Kansas City BOMA president and currently serves on its board of directors.

Regent Properties Dana R. Ashton has joined this Beverly Hills, Calif.-based real estate firm as CFO. His responsibilities will be to oversee the fiscal operations of the company's developments. Prior to joining Regent, Ashton was vice president of finance and controller for the commercial property and resort development divisions of Los Angeles-based Lowe Enterprises.

Benchmark Assisted Living Robert G. Noonan, has been appointed CIO for this Wellesley Hills, Mass.-based seniors housing management and development firm. His new responsibilities include the acquisition of operating facilities and securing financing. Previously, Noonan was CFO for Weston, Mass.-based CMI Senior Housing & Healthcare Inc.

CarrAmerica Realty Corp. Leah Segawa has been promoted from president and development coordinator to managing director of the San Francisco Bay Area for this Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate firm. She will be responsible for CarrAmerica's Northern California office and R&D portfolio. Segawa was promoted from CarrAmerica Development Inc., an affiliate of CarrAmerica.

The Hillier Group David Erik Chase has been promoted from president to CEO of this Princeton, N.J.-based architectural firm. Prior to joining Hillier Group, Chase was founder and owner of his own architectural and engineering firm. He will be responsible for the firm's global objectives. Also, Gerald F.X. (Guy) Geier II, has been promoted from principal to president.

Bass Hotels & Resorts Thomas Arasi has been promoted to president of Bass Hotel & Resorts, The Americas for this Atlanta-based hotel firm. Arasi will be responsible for operations, marketing, development and asset management for the company's Inter-Continental and Crowne Plaza brands in North America and Latin America, as well as Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites by Holiday Inn in Latin America. Previously, Arasi was president of development and asset management for the company's five hotel brands.

The Macklowe Organization William S. (Billy) Macklowe has been promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president of this New York-based real estate development firm. While continuing to direct office leasing activities, he will also be responsible for the company's acquisitions, lender relations and strategic planning. Prior to joining the firm, Macklowe was a real estate finance analyst for New York-based Manufacturers Hanover, which is now Chase Manhattan Bank.

Insignia/ESG Capital Advisers David B. Doupe has joined this New York-based real estate firm as executive managing director. He will be responsible for expanding the company's REIT sales and financing division in the Western United States. Prior to joining Insignia/ESG, Doupe was president, North America, of The Greenwich Group International, New York.

Lend Lease Development U.S. Thomas E. Zacharias has joined this Atlanta-based real estate development and management firm as senior vice president in the company's New York office. Zacharias will be responsible for identifying and executing development projects on the East Coast. Prior to joining Lend Lease, Zacharias was senior officer at New York-based Corporate Property Investors.

Hanover Capital Mortgage Holdings Inc. Thomas P. Kaplan has joined this New York-based mortgage REIT as CFO. He will be responsible for investor relations, planning and budgeting. Prior to joining Hanover, Kaplan was executive vice president and director of capital markets for Los Angeles-based Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Co.

J.E. Robert Cos. David D. Puyear has joined this McLean, Va.-based investment and asset management firm as senior vice president and CFO. His responsibilities will include domestic and international financing, and international accounting and operations. Most recently, Puyear was director and CFO of Boston, Mass.-based AEW Capital Management.
