NAMES IN THE NEWS

CHERYL BOYER has been named the leader of Pricewaterhouse-Coopers' hospitality and leisure practice in New York. Boyer will grow the New York practice by providing advisory services to lodging, food service, real estate and sports and leisure companies. Prior to joining Pricewaterhouse-Coopers, Boyer was managing director for Insignia Hotel Partners' capital markets group.

KENNETH WONG has been named president of Westfield's U.S.-based operations, including development, construction, management and leasing. Wong joined Westfield from The Related Cos. of New York, where he held the title of partner.

KENT MERSELIS has been appointed senior vice president of Lowe Enterprises Real Estate Group. He will oversee the company's commercial property portfolio in Arizona. Prior to joining Lowe in 1997, Merselis was president of W&M Partners Development Corp.

TIM RATH has been named president of Bell Mortgage. He will continue the firm's integration into secondary markets and its expansion throughout the Midwest. Previously, he worked as senior vice president and secondary markets manager at the mortgage banking firm.

GEORGE GARFIELD has been appointed president of the Western Region for Transwestern Commercial Services. In his new role, he will oversee the firm's California expansion and strategy, recruiting, business development and client relationships.

ROBERT STEIN has been named president of Integrated Design Group. Stein is one of four founding principals of the company.
