New developments

Virginia Beach, Va. - Armada/Hoffler, Hampton Roads, Va., is developing a mixed-use urban village in the city's central business district. Encompassing 25 acres on 12 city blocks, The Town Center at Virginia Beach will be an urban "Main Street" comprised of 750,000 sq. ft. of upscale retail stores; a multi-screen stadium-seating cinema complex with 5,000 seats; 77,500 sq. ft. of restaurants and 800,000 sq. ft. of office space. The Town Center will also feature banking, a cinema, two hotels and more than 300 upscale residential units. Completion of the project's Phase I is due in Spring 2002. Architecture and urban planning for the project will be handled by locally based CMSS Architects. Locally based Divaris Property Management Corp. will handle leasing of the project.
