Judging by the $1.43 million price, a recent property sale in Claremont, Calif., may not have seemed like a record-breaker. But the freestanding building only contains 4,000 square feet, putting its price at a whopping $357.50 per square foot, a record for the city. Ruby Simpson of Sperry Van Ness represented sellers Claremont Holdings as well as the undisclosed buyers.
