Animal House II in Kalamazoo? JPI hopes that's not the case
Irving, Texas-based JPI has begun construction of Jefferson Commons at Kalamazoo, a 324-unit student housing apartment complex near Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich. Occupancy is slated to begin in August 2001. Houston-based Kaufman Meeks Inc. designed the community.
The complex will feature studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units, ranging in size from 400 sq. ft. to 1,219 sq. ft. The apartments will be furnished and rented by the bedroom. Rents will range from $375 per month to $615 per month.
All the bedrooms and living rooms will be wired for cable television and high-speed Internet access. Community amenities will include a swimming pool, clubhouse and volleyball court.
