C&W lands two deals deep in the heart of Texas

The Dallas office of New York-based Cushman & Wakefield represented Atlanta-based Home Depot in a big-box deal, and also represented locally based Beckett Corp. in its lease for 185,000 sq. ft. of Dallas distribution space.

Home Depot leased 322,824 sq. ft. from locally based Trammell Crow Co. at Great Southwestern Industrial Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Home Depot primarily will use the development for lumber distribution. The lease was contingent upon Union Pacific Railroad Co.'s ability to service the building. Trammell Crow also negotiated with the adjacent property owner to bring in two additional rail spurs.

A manufacturer of sprinklers and industrial pump products, Beckett leased 185,000 sq. ft. from a private owner based in California.
