FOREST CITY'S VICTORIA GARDENS LIFESTYLE CENTER TO DEBUT IN CALIFORNIA
Victoria Gardens, a 1.3 million sq. ft. open-air lifestyle and entertainment center in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., is set to debut this month. Forest City California, a division of Cleveland, Ohio-based Forest City Enterprises Inc., is developing the $180 million project on a 147-acre site east of Los Angeles.
Borders, Gap, GapKids and Panda Express are some of the latest to join the lineup of more than 100 retailers, many of which are new to the area.
“The addition of Borders, only the second store in the Inland Empire, brings a new and important category to the center,” said Glenn Miller, marketing director for Victoria Gardens, adding that Aldo Shoes, babyGap, L'Occitane en Provence and Johnny Rockets are totally new to the Inland Empire.
Anchor tenants include JC Penney, Macy's, Robinsons-May, AMC Theatres and the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center.
Victoria Gardens is expected to generate significant economic benefits for the city of Rancho Cucamonga, including more than $5 million in retail sales tax, property tax and business license tax annually. It's estimated that the center will create about 3,000 jobs for the area.
