$185 MILLION SUPER RESORT IN THE WORKS FOR PHOENIX'S PARADISE VALLEY

Crowne Realty & Development is building Montelucia, a 28-acre luxury resort in the Paradise Valley community outside of Phoenix. The move into luxury resort development is a first for Crowne, which is known for office and retail development in southern California. With the additional development of a second, 70-acre resort called Mountain Shadows, Crowne is poised to become a leading hospitality force in the Paradise Valley region. West Paces, led by Horst Schulze, the former president and COO of the Ritz Carlton organization, will be brought on board to manage the property. Montelucia includes 157 hotel rooms, 66 luxury suites, 34 privately owned resort villas, and 24 privately owned cabanas. A 31,500 sq. ft spa and 3,000 sq. ft. boutique retail center will be among the amenities offered to residents. The entire resort also features touch-screen computers in every unit, providing both vacationing guests and residents with 24/7 access to resort staff.
