William Gaboury, president of Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Shea Properties, has been named to the board of directors for the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC), Washington, D.C. In other NMHC news,

David B. Cardwell has been named vice president of finance and technology for the organization. He primarily will be responsible for apartment housing and finance issues, including the private capital markets and federal housing finance programs. In addition, he will lead the Council's technology initiatives, managing NMHC's technology conferences and producing strategic business information on the deployment of technology to improve apartment operations and resident satisfaction.

Michael D. Armstrong has formed San Diego-based Neptune Hospitality Advisors Inc., a hotel real estate brokerage firm. A 19-year hotel industry veteran, Armstrong formerly was senior managing director of New York-based Insignia Hotel Partners.

Beverly Thorne has become COO of New York-based Advanced Digital Internet (ADI), a provider of high-speed Internet access to residential properties. She joins ADI from AT&T where she served as vice president of business local services.

Dennis J. Carey has been appointed to the new position of executive vice president of business development, strategy and corporate operations at The Home Depot. In this role his responsibilities include leading the company's growth steering committee, information services, strategic business development, corporate services and purchasing, real estate, and construction and store planning.

Jeffrey N. Boyer has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Troy, Mich.-based Kmart Corp.

Paul J. Liska has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Sears, Roebuck and Co. He succeeds Jeffrey N. Boyer who left the company.

Stanley D. Levy has been named executive vice president and CFO of The Morgan Group Inc., a Houston-based luxury apartment developer.

Ruth Davis has been named managing director and new head of the Dallas office of Landauer Realty Group Inc., a Grubb & Ellis company that provides appraisal and consultation services for commercial real estate. She joins Landauer from Cushman & Wakefield in Dallas where she served as associate director.

Stanley D. Levy has been named executive vice president and CFO of The Morgan Group Inc., a Houston-based luxury apartment developer.

Ted Crisell has joined the Irvine, Calif., office of Voit Commercial Brokerage, one of The Voit Cos., Los Angeles, as senior vice president and will be responsible for retail and mixed-use development, and redevelopment projects throughout the United States. Crisell, a 25-year veteran of retail brokerage and shopping center development, has headed his own development, brokerage, management and construction companies for more than a decade.
