NAMES IN THE NEWS

WILLIAM H. WINN has been appointed president of Passco, where he formerly held the position of COO and senior vice president. A member of Passco since 1998, Winn spearheaded many of Passco's record-breaking TIC transactions, including the 2003 acquisition of the Puente Hills Mall in the City of Industry, Calif.

WILLIAM THUMMEL has been appointed COO for the Americas region of Jones Lang LaSalle. Thummel will oversee the finance, legal, office services, technology, and engineering and operations groups. He will also be responsible for the service delivery of two of the firm's key clients, Procter & Gamble and HSBC.

FREDERICK J. MENO has been appointed president and COO of Woodmont Co.'s property and asset management services. Meno previously served as vice president of operations for Prime Retail, where he managed the operations, leasing and construction of a 12 million sq. ft. portfolio of shopping centers.

BRUCE SALOMON was hired by Austin commercial real estate firm Hill Partners as president of its tenant representation division. Salomon previously served as senior leasing director at Tishman Speyer Properties in New York City, where he played a critical role in the successful redevelopment and repositioning of the Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Center.

HENRY BERNSTEIN has joined Scheer Partners as senior vice president to focus on new business development. Berstein was previously COO for the Department of Economic Development for Montgomery County, Md. While working for the county, Bernstein facilitated the economic attraction and expansion of hundreds of companies.

CHRISTOPER LYDON has joined AMB as vice president to oversee leasing of the company's 14 million sq. ft. Chicago distribution facility portfolio. Lydon brings extensive experience representing buyers, owners, lenders and developers. Throughout his career, Lydon has been involved in transactions totaling 20 million sq. ft. and $300 million.

DANIEL GONZALEZ, executive vice president and managing director of Scheer Partners, a commercial real estate services provider, has been named vice chairman of the Northern Virginia Technology Council Foundation. Responsible for overseeing the Virginia office for Scheer Partners, Gonzalez has over 12 years of commercial real estate service experience.

MICHAEL F. PRESTON has been named COO of Houston-based Creekstone Partners, where he will be responsible for Creekstone's daily operations and real estate acquisitions for both multifamily and commercial. Prior to joining Creekstone in 2002, Preston was the corporate tax manager for Imperial Sugar Co. & Subsidiaries.

TOM HALLOWELL has been named president of Atlanta-based Colonial Properties Trust. Hallowell brings extensive experience to his new post through a 20-year background in transaction and business development. Hallowell formerly served as senior vice president of acquisitions for Wells Real Estate Funds.

BARRY LEWEN has been named vice president and director of leasing for New York-based Monday Properties and will be responsible for the company's 4 million sq. ft. portfolio.
